On 9 May 2024, The Forum in Bryanston will transform into a battleground for visions, solutions and, dare we say, some spicy debates as we launch the inaugural Daily Maverick Debates series.
We’re talking about the top premier candidates from Gauteng debating as they battle it out for your attention and, ultimately, your vote.
Sad, but true
Brilliant!!!
In re-watching this cartoon, and listening to Magashule’s press conference after his court appearance, flanked by the ANC spokes person, give credence to the article in DM that he will be campaigning for the next president of the ANC. He is totally defiant of ANC resolutions to step down. With a rather weak president of the ANC more intend to create unity in the ANC rather than looking after the interest of the whole country, the opportunity for Magashule to increase his support base in now very real. This is especially more telling after after his corruption case was postponed for 6 months for a pre-trial. Heaven’s know when the actual court case will start, and how long it will take. If the NPA’s case is equally weak or politicised, Magashule could indeed be voted in as president of the ANC because of the power of many equally corrupt ANC branch leaders.
He has learnt from the Zuma Handbook of Evading The Final Day in Court.
