Toad in the Hole is an old English dish which uses Yorkshire pudding batter as a ‘bed’ for meat to lie in while it cooks. Nobody in those times could have imagined an air fryer. But here we are, and so is the toad.

If yesterday’s spicy fish cakes recipe whetted your appetite, here’s another, this time for your air fryer. Leftover braaied snoek and some canned tuna in brine, drained, were put to use in a mixture for fish cakes cooked in the air fryer.
