Clinton-Biden job swap not on the cards

The White House announced on Wednesday that rumours of US vice president Joe Biden and secreatry of state Hilary Clinton swapping jobs in the run-up to the 2012 presidential elections were false. Journalist Bob Woodward, who rose to fame for his part in investigating the Watergate scandal in the 1970s, and has recently written a book about US president Barack Obama, had indicated to CNN that the job-swap idea was being mooted. Woodward has attracted criticism for his speculation, most notably a very funny piece by The Atlantic's Mark Ambinder. Read more: Reuters, The Atlantic
