Majali arrested for Kalahari ‘corporate hijacking’

Businessman Sandile Majali, formerly of Oilgate disrepute, was arrested by the Commercial Crimes Unit on Thursday, in relation to corporate hijacking that occurred at the Companies and Intellectual Property Registration Office in August. Directors at the mining company Kalahari Resources Daphne Mashile-Nkosi and Brian Amos Mashile and were astonished to discover that their names at the Cipro database had been replaced with eight other names, including Majali. An urgent application was sought and obtained last month, which reinstated the rightful directors to Kalahari Resources. Three of the other co-accused were arrested on Wednesday, and will appear on Friday with Majali in court. Read more: Business Day, Sapa, via News24
