Bundesbank executive prompts wave of criticism for anti-Muslim comments

An executive and board member with the German Bundesbank has prompted a race outcry after he said that Muslim immigrants were unfit and unwilling to integrate into German society. German Chancellor Angela Merkel has joined the call for Thilo Sarrazin to be sacked from the central bank. Sarrazin is unapologetic, and for now, the Bundesbank have issued a statement, wagging their finger at the banker. This will most likely become quite massive, given the anti-Muslim trend springing across Europe, and the fact that this is perhaps the highest ranking official in Europe to come out so vociferously against Muslim immigrants.
