Google kills Wave

Google has announced that it will kill Google Wave today, after it was launched last year. Wave, once the next best thing on the internet, combined e-mail with instant messaging, document sharing and social networking and was supposed to revolutionise the way we communicate online, but failed to attract enough users to justify its continued use. The company said that the few loyal users who remained would not be dumped, but alternate platforms would be found for them. Read more: The Sydney Morning Herald
