China, the Disney land

Authorities in China’s most populous city are close to clinching the deal of their lifetimes: a $3.6 billion  Disneyland theme-park. All that’s left is the final approval by the Chinese government, which is likely to come before US President Barack Obama’s visit to that country at the end of November. The deal is pretty much the stuff of dreams for both Disney and the Chinese: the hosts get to expose its citizenry to Disney’s wholesome family entertainment, while Disney gets its proper foothold (wholesome, of course) in the Chinese market.
