Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin, has announced her engagement to Levi Johnstone, who is the father of her child. US Weekly magazine broke the news, and Bristol said she had not yet told her mother, as she thought this would be "intimidating and scary".
