Create a shortcut on your device for easy access to Daily Maverick

No-one has time to look for the news. You need to know exactly where to go and how to get there — fast. Follow these instructions to create a shortcut to Daily Maverick’s home page, whether on your phone, tablet or desktop.

Add a shortcut to Daily Maverick on your iPhone or iPad’s home screen

  1. Launch Safari on your ‌iPhone‌ or ‌iPad‌.
  2. Navigate to Daily Maverick.
  3. Tap the ‘Share’ icon (the square with an arrow pointing out of it) at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Scroll down to the list of actions and tap ‘Add to Home Screen’. (If you don’t see the action, scroll to the bottom and tap ‘Edit Actions’, then tap ‘Add’ next to the Add to Home Screen action. After that, you’ll be able to select it from the Share Sheet.)

Add a shortcut to Daily Maverick on your Android device’s home screen

  1. Launch the Chrome browser. (You can do this using Firefox as well.)
  2. Navigate to Daily Maverick.
  3. Tap the three-dot menu in the top left corner. (If you’re using Firefox, tap the ‘Menu’ button, then tap the ‘Page’ option.)
  4. Tap ‘Add to Home screen’ and a shortcut icon will appear on your home screen.

Add a Daily Maverick shortcut on your desktop using Chrome

  1. Navigate to Daily Maverick in Chrome and click the ••• icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  2. Select ‘More tools’.
  3. Select ‘Create shortcut’.
  4. Edit the shortcut name to Daily Maverick.
  5. Click ‘Create’. (If you check ‘Open as Window’, the next time you open the link, it will open without an editable search bar.)

Add a Daily Maverick shortcut on your Mac using Safari

  1. Launch Safari on your Mac OS X system.
  2. Navigate to Daily Maverick.
  3. Select the entire address in the address bar at the top of the browser.
  4. Click and drag the address onto the desktop and release the mouse button.
  5. A shortcut will be created on the desktop. You can rename it to Daily Maverick if it’s not already so.
