Jason Robinson

Jason Robinson is a third-year Doctoral Candidate in History at the University of Oxford, writing a thesis on small political parties and groupings during South Africas transition, 1990-1997. Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, he initially set out to write a PhD on the Irish Civil War but ended up getting hooked on South Africa and hasnt looked back since. He holds a BA in English Literature and History from Trinity College Dublin, an MA in International Relations from Kings College London and an MPhil in African Studies from the University of Cambridge. He organised the Conference 1994-2014: 20 years of South African Democracy held at the University of Oxford in April 2014 and is writing the chapter on the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) for Jacanas forthcoming book on the 2014 election.
