Anne Schlebusch taught high school English and Maths until she joined the Western Cape Education Department in 1996. After holding portfolios in English, Literacy, Curriculum Management, Assessment, HR, Language Policy and Social Capital initiatives, she became Director of Business Strategy for 10 years from 2007. It is in this time that she developed a specialist interest in data, in systems and in school and education planning, monitoring and evaluation. She has an MPhil from UCT and is an award-winning author of teen novels.
