Iceland tops gender equality list

The World Economic Forum released its Global Gender Gap Report onTuesday, with Iceland once again topping the list of greatest gender equality. It's no coincidence then that Iceland has a female prime minister. The report measures a range of indicators in terms of politics, education, employment and health. South Africa came in at 12th place - although equality in terms of legal rights and representation in government doesn't necessarily translate into better lives for women at a grassroots level.
