Patricia de Lille sworn in as WC MEC

Patricia de Lille was sworn in as the Western Cape's MEC for Social Development by Premier Helen Zille. De Lille was previously the leader of the Independent Democrats, but recently sold her party down the river, er, oversaw the party's assimilation into the Democratic Alliance. Marthinus van Schalkwyk at least had the nous to sell the NNP out for a National Cabinet position.  Read more: Sapa, via News24
