Man jailed for calling Mugabe “old and wrinkled”

Gift Mafuka is facing up to a year of hard labour in jail, after he was heard calling Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe "old and wrinkled". A provincial magistrate handed the sentence down to 23-year-old Mafuka for insulting Mugabe. The jail time may be reduced by two months if the defendant promises not to call Mugabe "old" within five years. The free radio stations in Zimbabwe have been flooded with callers demanding to know what exactly is so wrong or bizarre with pointing out that Mugabe is, well, old.  Read more: TimesLive
