Local elections bode of power change in Sao Tome

Opposition party Independent Democratic Action (AID) was a clear winner of municipal elections in Sao Tome and Principe, making the AID a strong contender emerge as the winner in parliamentary elections coming up in August. That could put former Prime Minister and party leader Patrice Trovoada back in charge, effectively if not directly. AFP (French)
