Abbas to decide on peace talks within a week

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced on Thursday that he would decide in the next seven days whether to proceed with direct peace talks with Israel. If he agrees to the talks, the US has promised that a partial moratorium on building settlements in the West Bank would be extended.  Read more: Reuters
