Oil from Gulf of Mexico spill spreads to Mississippi

Oil from the Gulf of Mexico disaster washed ashore in Mississippi on Sunday. Officials are concerned about tropical storm Alex - which could turn into a hurricane in the next 48 hours - moving into the Mexican gulf, although forecasters predict that it will miss the oil spill. Meanwhile, Russian president Dmitry Medvedev has suggested that oil companies contribute to a global pollution fund that can be used for future clean-up operations.  Read more: Reuters
