Chavez threatens opposition television network

Hugo Chavez, the president of Venezuela, has cracked down on Nelson Mezerhane, the owner of Banco Federal. The bank was taken over by the government in mid-June, owing to "liquidity problems". Chavez has also said Mezerhane's television network, Globovision could be "evaluated". Globvision just happens to be the only network with an opposition stance.   Read more: Bloomberg
