Beyonce gained the most Grammy nominations with 10, including album of the year with “I Am ... Sasha Fierce,” song of the year for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” and record of the year for “Halo.” Don’t worry if you don’t recognize them yet – you definitely will by the time the award season is over. 19-year-old country crossover singer Taylor Swift got eight nominations. Lady Gaga with five nominations, and Black Eyed Peas, the Dave Matthews Band also garnered various nominations, among others. The Grammy awards will take place Jan. 31. Several celebs were nominated in nonmusical categories, including Jimmy Carter, Michael J. Fox, David Hyde Pierce, and Ed Asner; and "Weird Al" Yankovic, Stephen Colbert, Patton Oswalt, Kathy Griffin, George Lopez and faux rock band Spinal Tap were nominated for best comedy album.
