High-end jet firm chases World Cup work

Scotland’s Cloud 9 private jet firm, which shuttles men like Kevin Costner and Iggy Pop between the United States and Europe, is to attend the Soccerex football finance festival in Sandton, Johannesburg, in the hope of winning World Cup work. The firm, which has as co-founder former Scotland footballer Graeme Souness, aims to expand beyond its high-end music, entertainment and corporate clientele into sports. The FIFA World Cup 2010 will be the launch pad, and Cloud 9 intends to use aircraft of between 12 and 78 seats to get people to and around South Africa in very expensive style.   Read more: BBC News
