Somali minister held by Ugandans

Uganda has detained Somalia's junior minister for defence during a trip to the capital, Kampala. Former warlord Sheikh Yusuf Mohamed Siad was held while visiting family in the city. Uganda’s army, which provides troops for the African Union Mission to Somalia, says it is suspicious of him. Recent violence in Mogadishu has seen more than a dozen AU peacekeepers killed in twin suicide blasts. Somalia’s ambassador has indicated that he is aware the minister was in Ugandan custody.
