Denmark says third of world leaders to attend UN Climate Summit
A Danish source now says at least 65 world leaders will be at the Copenhagen climate summit in December. Confirmed so far are the heads of government of Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Spain and the UK. Denmark sent out formal invitations last week to world leaders in 191 countries to attend the UN summit from 7 to18 December. The key goal of the meeting is to come up with an agreement to replace the 1997 Kyoto Protocol to curb greenhouse gas emissions and build-up blamed for global warming. For more, read the AP
