I revisited the book Secrets of Divine Love, a beautiful spiritual journey book by A. Helwa.

Harry Potter, hands down, was the reason I started reading in the first place! Recently, I finished Desert God by Wilbur Smith. I love historical fiction.

Winnie (for historical perspective) and Mad Max Total Fury (for the cinematography). I have watched the Harry Potter movies an uncountable amount of times.

Rick and Morty and The Queens Gambit but I also love a good Narcos series!

Chris Hemsworth in Extraction, Denzel Washington in Equalizer and Bear Grylls, the survival expert (I feel like these people could carry my survival on their shoulders).

Switzerland. Even though I’ve never seen snow I like the idea of snowy days, warm cabins and skiing.

Cockroaches, they are my mortal enemy…

At the moment they have to be my crocs, they are the most comfortable shoes I own!

First I wake up and pray, ensuring I thank Allah for the day before and the day ahead.

Living and success is reliant on the positive imprint you leave behind.

I would choose a superpower that ensures I am just always very lucky and surrounded by good things constantly happening… I’m not sure if there is a word for this but this would be my superpower.

I am currently playing Nothing Burns Like a Cold Day by Snoh Alegra on repeat but I have multiple playlists for each time of the day.

I am excited to see how AI can be used to better the world and help people in need.

My favourite sandwich to date has been the footlong Italian roast beef with lots of danish feta, olives and lettuce from Subway. But anything with salmon and cream cheese will have me.

At the moment I admire Palestinian journalists. It has been the most heart wrenching time to watch them balance their professions in ensuring that they play their part to defend the truth whilst simultaneously watching their loved ones and neighbours suffer.

My first unofficial job was selling my sticker collections and other collectibles when I was in grade R (maybe 6 years old). This [working at Daily Maverick] is my first official job!

South Africans – I love our diversity, our cultures and our ability to spin a positive out of a negative situation.

I am an emotional belter so Someone Like You by Adele and Grenade by Bruno Mars are my go to karaoke songs.

I am not the most creative person when it comes to costumes for costume parties, but I’ve gone as Princess Jasmine.

I would say my series addiction. I have to binge watch a series as soon as it’s released.
