This week’s spotlight shines on Maverick Citizen’s journalist and reporter, Naledi Sikhakhane, as she takes on 20 questions for Maverick Insiders.

Listening to music I liked before my brain was fully developed.

I come alive at night.

Whenever you feel overwhelmed, ask yourself if whatever you are worried about will matter in five years. Calms me down eight out of 10 times.

My five-year-old kid moves me around on his top four list of people he loves – depending on his mood that minute, hour or day. I fall off the number-one spot often. The consolation is I am replaced by him. He is number two on the list of people he loves.

The Wool Trilogy by Hugh Howey.

 Computer/software coding.

I’m underqualified but put more intention behind the education system and provide a more inclusive, safe and holistic system where all children can thrive and be the best they can be.

Culture Changers podcast with Allison Hare, The Second Book of General Ignorance (audible), You People (Netflix Movie), The Whale (I haven’t watched this movie yet but Beth Young wrote a great review, very emotive, makes you want to watch).

Yellow lentil soup. Not weird, just awful.

Rewatching the Big Bang Theory sitcom.

I can preempt what people will say in movies or TV series because I think writers (can be) passive-aggressive people who wish they could say dramatic (somewhat assertive) things like “read my lips” and “we can do this the easy way or the hard way”.
