It has to be between my Bialetti and my engagement ring.

A good book, a hug, and thriving lavender in my garden.

I wrote “rich mom in the French countryside”, but I’m too lazy to learn French. Honestly? A mom on an off-grid plaas in the Eastern Cape reading literature for a living. Chickens running around, maybe a goat or two. I’d have to learn more about hügelkultur – now that’s something I’m willing to offer up time for.

How much I care about the importance of being permitted to instal rain gutters in a sectional title property.

Rehabilitate ecosystems.

Expand Silverlakes in Pretoria.

Invest in our education system: the power really does lie with our youth.

A soulful poetry podcast: Poetry Unbound with the soothing Irish voice of Pádraig Ó Tuama.

And to balance it out: Behind the Bastards with Robert Evans, where you learn Hitler enjoyed YA fiction.

Guinea pig and sea urchins in Peru.

Unironically: funny cat videos on Instagram.

Writing great wedding speeches. I’m hilarious and engaging, but it doesn’t pay.
