Pakistani cricketer Haider flees to UK

Pakistani wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider, who disappeared before his country's fifth one-day international against South Africa in Dubai (which the Proteas won, in case you didn't know), has pitched up in London. Haider has been coy about his erratic behaviour, saying only: "I will speak in detail on the reasons for my decision to leave Dubai and come to London later on", but his brother has indicated that Haider had been receiving threatening messages after the fourth one-day international, which Pakistan won.   Read more: Reuters, via Times Live
