Author Christopher Hitchens has cancer of the oesophagus

Author and journalist Christopher Hitchens is cancelling his latest book tour in order to undergo chemotherapy to treat cancer of the oesophagus. Before his diagnosis, he was scheduled to tour the US to promote his memoirs, Hitch-22. Read more: The Guardian
