In 2010, we held one of the most talked about events of the year. We gathered some of the biggest names in South African business, media and politics to share the day with us in an intimate theatre environment. The event trended. Worldwide. It made news headlines and above all, it made us think.

What they said about v1.0

"The Gathering will crank your mind open. You will meet people you see in the news and others you didn't know existed, who do things you didn't think were possible. You will cross the line from the current science, to the future fantastic. It was the most mind-opening experience that could happen in one day."

- Stephen Grootes, Eye Witness News

The fine print:
Have you noticed how fine print is usually in small Italics, so you don't bother reading it and the big corporations can get you to sign away your soul, or your grandmother? No catches here though. You pay us - we show you a good time. Not that kind of good time, mind you, but the classy, smart, controversial and witty kind of good time you've come to expect from the Daily Maverick. Speakers listed above are confirmed for the event but may be subject to change under extenuating circumstances.

The really fine print:
Really? You read down all this way, wasting time to read the fine print when someone else could be booking your seat? Were you waiting for us to tell you seats are limited? Of course, they are! This is a theatre, not FNB Stadium.

The really, really fine print:
Seriously? Why are you still reading? Just book your seat. Now! We even put another button here for you so you don't have scroll back up.
