Re the Don Idiote cartoon .. is that a leak from the fossil fuels tank ..or did the rider wet himself ?

TBH I think this one is a bit tasteless. For years the complaints and deaths from unsafe transport for all people has fallen on deaf ears, probably high in the 10's of thousands for a count. Now it is children, may god rest their souls, it is a big problem. This is not a surprise, it was bound to happen. At this point I feel it may be to early to joke about. However, I am only one person and maybe others found it hilarious.

A cartoon does not have to be 'hilarious' to be painfully true. I suspect most people share your utter dismay - only a psychotic would not. In my view, Zapiro's skill has always been to make a perceptive point - often a distessing one - not chase a hearty laugh.

As harsh as this is, you have hit the point 100%. We all want reduction in crime but overlook this obvious area. Fix the taxis and you reduce road death by 40-50%. You reduce gang related death rate by 10%. You bring billions into the tax net. Sadly no political party has the backbone to do fight this. Yet all will go to the memorial services and cry crocodile tears. Use UBER like systems and you can manage this VALUBLE (in services) area of our society.
