Vincent Cruywagen
What I cover
I have worked as a journalist for 26 years, the last 15 of which I’ve been reporting on the courts. Currently my main focus is high-profile child murders, mass murders and taxi violence cases in the high court. I also cover State Capture cases as they reach court. I am interested in human interest stories.
My background
I have a Diploma in Public and Personnel Management. I’ve worked at Die Burger, Rapport, Daily Voice, New Age (Guptas paper) and Cape Argus. I believe my ability to engage with people on all levels, irrespective of race or qualification, sets my journalism apart.
Journalistic ethics
Ethics play a crucial role in maintaining public trust. I strive at all times to report fairly, accurately and honestly. I always apply the “Audi alteram partem” rule... listen to the other side.
