Professor Quarraisha Abdool Karim is an infectious diseases epidemiologist and Associate Scientific Director of the Centre for the Aids Programme of Research in South Africa (Caprisa). She was a 2021 Laureate of the VinFuture Prize, in the ‘Innovators From Developing Countries’ category.
