My background
Before joining Daily Maverick I spent some time rebuilding my journalism CV at Bizcommunity after a brief spell weaponising my communications and narrative powers in the corporate world. I was also editor of Popular Mechanics magazine, which was the cherry on top of a print career which included Men’s Health, FHM and Sports Illustrated.
Journalistic ethics
“Real name, no gimmicks” is how I operate in the news cycle. I speak to real people, actually read through the white papers and data reports, and keep receipts. Journalism is a contact sport and I put my name on the line with every article that carries it.
