John Siko
Dr John Siko spent 15 years in the US government, primarily focused on southern Africa, including tours at the US embassy in Pretoria (2004-6) and consulate in Cape Town (2008-11). He has a doctorate in African politics from Unisa and is author of 2014’s Inside South Africa’s Foreign Policy: Diplomacy in Africa from Smuts to Mbeki. He writes in his private capacity.
