Hettie Schönfeldt

Hettie Schönfeldt is a prominent figure in the field of nutrition research, known for her advocacy and contributions to the creation, translation, and dissemination of science-based information into policies and programmes. She has been a researcher at the University of Pretoria for over 20 years, focusing on the link between nutrient quantity and quality of foods to sustainable food systems. Schönfeldt serves as a scientific advisor to Afrofoods and is a co-director of the African Research Universities Alliance Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Food Systems.
