Lunched with Andy Warhol in his factory in NYC and decided to always be a artist in 1982. Studied fine art at Byam Shaw school of Art London, in the early 80s in the same year as Yinka Shonabare. Exhibited between London, Joburg and Cape Town Milestones include: A one man show at Vanessa Devereux in London. The invention and unintended-by-them acquisition for the SA National Gallery of the art of my black woman alter ego Joyce Ntobe in 1992 and subsequent exhibitions with her in which she becomes a feminist. Received death threat for converting the statue of general Louis Botha outside parliament into a Xhosa initiate in 1994. Collaboration on paintings and projects with David Bowie, Brian Eno and Ben Okry. Continue to exhibit in London, Joburg and Cape Town, represented by the Everard Read gallery.
