Alan Christoffels, Sarah Mwangi and Emma Griffiths

Prof Alan Christoffels is professor of bioinformatics and director of the South African National Bioinformatics Institute (SANBI) at the University of the Western Cape. He is also the chairperson of the steering committee for the Public Health Alliance for Genomic Epidemiology (PHA4GE), which will host its inaugural conference in Cape Town from 30 October to 1 November 2023. Dr Sarah Mwangi is an implementation science expert at the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), the public health arm of the African Union (AU). Dr Emma Griffiths is a research associate at Simon Fraser University in Canada, and chairperson of the data structures working group with PHA4GE.
