Do we really need a video for this. A written article would better - there are other alternative media to listen or watch news.

One source is the tithes that municipal councillors pay to their parties. I was told by a DA councillor that this typically is 10% of what the municipality pays the individual councillor. This might be democracy in action: The more councillors people voted for, the bigger the tithe the party receives.
