Very helpful analysis. Thank you Redi. But I missed one thing in your analysis - that Trump has commandeered executive powers to the extent of bypassing the whole house committee and senate process in several issues and we know he unrealistically thinks “bad things are happening in South Africa”. Surely that makes any talk or discussion of sanctions being imposed on South Africa without the normal careful process more likely.
