In the 2020 elections, Big Tech overwhelmingly backed the Democrats by something like 4:1 against the Republicans. Even in the 2024 election, oligarchs like Bill Gates gave Harris $50m. "Funny" that this didn't make the Soros-funded hacks' heads explode....
Elon Musk gave Trump over 250million dollars.
And George Soros, the ultimate plutocrat, also gave the Harris campaign millions. Not that you'd hear that being discussed in the diatribe above.
This is an entirely different order of 'support'. We are genuinely in the post-truth world, and Trump of course does not give a damn about truth anyway. Everything that Maria Ressa said made complete sense, and it points to the dystopian future that we all hoped we could avoid - no chance now!
The final call for living by real values and faith in humanity is something we all need to work on and frame our lives by. We must continue to celebrate and support diversity and difference, not be blinded by the monocultural moronity of both Trump and his tech buddies. Tough times ahead!
The balance is now corrected, with free speech at X and Meta. And DEI booted out of the US, and I hope soon in the rest of the world.
Harris had a much bigger war chest than Trump. Who do you think were her doners? Interestingly she is reported to have PAID, not received, PAID, Oprah Winfrey, a million dollars to endorse her on the latter’s show. I wonder how the doners feel about the use of their money.
Oprah Winfrey has a massive following and was seen as a big Dem drawcard so, money well spent.
Thought provoking and powerful messaging. Just damn good journalism
