## Key points
- In a classic case of "talk is cheap," Hezbollah's operations room has declared its fighters ready and waiting for action, all while conveniently sidestepping any mention of the newly brokered ceasefire deal that promises to pull Israeli forces out of southern Lebanon.
- Hezbollah's operations centre refrains from acknowledging the ceasefire deal, emphasizing readiness against Israeli actions.
- The group vows to maintain vigilance over Israeli troop withdrawals from Lebanon, remaining "hands on the trigger."
- The ceasefire, facilitated by the US and France, mandates Israeli forces to exit southern Lebanon within 60 days.
- This agreement follows a significant escalation in hostilities, while Israel continues its conflict with Hamas in Gaza.

## Content

In the first statement by Hezbollah's operations centre since the deal was announced, the group made no direct mention of the ceasefire deal.

"The Islamic resistance's operations room affirms that its fighters in all military disciplines will remain fully equipped to deal with the aspirations and assaults of the Israeli enemy," the group said.

It added that its fighters would continue to monitor the withdrawal of Israeli forces beyond the Lebanese borders "with their hands on the trigger".

The deal, brokered by the US and France, ended the deadliest confrontation between Israel and the Iran-backed militant group in years. Israel is still fighting the Palestinian [militant group Hamas](https://www.reutersconnect.com/all?search=all%3AL8N3C040C&linkedFromStory=true), in the Gaza Strip.
