- The 2023 Cape Town E-Prix saw a dramatic and historic victory by Antonio Felix da Costa. The race, the first of its kind in Cape Town, gave spectators a glimpse of a more sustainable future. With Mahindra Racing pulling out due to suspension issues, customer team ABT Cupra was unable to compete. However, Nissan Formula E Team's Sacha Fenestraz led at the start of the race, with Maserati MSG Racing's Maximilian Gunther following close behind. Third place went to Envision Racing's Nick Cassidy. Spectators were delighted by the action on the track, and cheered as Antonio Felix da Costa crossed the finish line victorious. The Cape Town E-Prix was an incredible success for Formula E and electric racing in South Africa.
