Here are the latest developments on Thursday, 28 November 2024:

- On Tuesday, 26 November, the [Constitutional Court heard](https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/article/2024-11-26-eff-patently-delayed-challenge-to-phala-phala-vote-concourt-hears/) an EFF and African Transformation Movement (ATM) challenge to the National Assembly’s vote against taking action on the Section 89 independent panel report on the cash-in-couch allegations against President Cyril Ramaphosa.
- The red berets are asking the ConCourt to declare the National Assembly’s decision not to adopt the report irrational and unlawful, and set it aside.
- The [National Prosecuting Authority](https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/article/2024-10-10-ramaphosa-off-the-hook-in-phala-phala-case-after-npa-declines-to-prosecute/) (NPA) has decided that President Ramaphosa – or anyone else for that matter – will not be prosecuted in relation to the Phala Phala case. The case stems from the [criminal complaint laid](https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/article/2022-06-02-why-ramaphosa-apparently-kept-mum-about-multimillion-dollar-robbery-at-his-farm/) by the former head of the State Security Agency, Arthur Fraser, in June 2022.
