Let’s be honest for one mad minute. The ANC is not governing. Civil society is. It is the rag-tag collection of disparate groupings of employers and the employed, academic institutions, non-profit humanitarian agencies, etc, mashed-in with those desperate enough to resort to a life of criminality, who are running the day-to-day issues this country faces. Every utterance made by this “government” is farcical, we hear the same thing over and over again, all followed by the same action, nothing. That people in government, content to hide behind the shame of the collective, do nothing to arrest this situation, is the true measure of the depravity of the ANC, who appointed them in the first instance. SA waits in hope for the final collapse of the ANC and the new dispensation borne, hopefully, out of the joint need for a more genuine attempt at a better life for all.
