A first in-depth investigation and audit into the meteoric rise of the shadowy private Wagner Group in Africa has revealed the presence of thousands of Russian mercenaries in at least 20 African countries including Mozambique, Libya, Sudan, the Ivory Coast and the Central African Republic.
