Southgate Mall evacuated following bomb scare

Gauteng police say Southgate Mall in Johannesburg has been evacuated after a suspicious device was found on Friday.

Captain Kay Makhubela said the device was found in one of the shops inside the mall.

“We have sent bomb specialists to determine whether it is a bomb or not,” Makhubela said.

Police and other law enforcement were on the scene.
