Street Talk: Taking back the hood

Bishop Lavis, which lies in the heart of the Cape Flats, is a victim of all that is wrong in our communities: unemployment, housing, drugs, crime, gangsterism… A group of residents, rekindling the struggle spirit of the ‘80s, have formed BLAC – Bishop Lavis Action Community, a band of volunteers who are tackling the problems head on, and having a real impact.
