Sexual assault claims spread to Seagal, Louis CK
Action star and credit card-knife man Steven Seagal has been accused of sexual misconduct by Portia de Rossi, Arrested Development actress and wife of chat queen Ellen DeGeneres. Five women have accused Louis CK, the red-headed comedian and source of the world’s common sense quotes, of sexually harassing them. CK has told reporters that he was “not going to answer any questions”. Someone’s been learning from Danny Jordaan, then.
Giant building collapses in Russia
A nine-storey building has collapsed in the rural city of Izhevsk, Russia. At least three people were confirmed dead and three others injured. The collapse of the corner section of the building is suspected to have been the result of a gas explosion, with the remaining residents evacuated from the structure.
Disney unveils more Star Wars films
Disney has revealed more Star Wars entertainment than you can shake a lightsaber at. A new film trilogy and a live-action TV series were announced, showing Disney’s preparations to suckle on the rich vein of Star Wars profits for as long, and for as much, as humanly possible. Star Wars fans are almost certainly happy to oblige.
Just a day after the pair wooed each other with platitudes and honour guards, President Xi and Donald Trump are set to reveal completely different trade strategies at the Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC). Trump is expected today to unveil an “America First” plan, with Xi expected to champion the cause of free trade. Because in 2017, the communists now herald a new age of free-market capitalism, while the former leaders of the free world shrink into an isolationist anachronism.
