It is well-known by now that it was the British firm, acting in a colonial fashion, that had come up with the narrative about “white monopoly capital”. So angry were South Africans over this that they embarked on a social media campaign against the company, which led to the appointment of a law firm to conduct an “independent” investigation. The interim data “shocked” the UK’s premium spin doctors enough to respond by sacking one partner and suspending two other employees. However unexpected, or welcome, it is obvious that this will be not enough for Bell Pottinger to atone for its sins. There is still myriad ways for the company to make good the damage it has done to all of us. Being essentially a group of cold-blooded spin-mercenaries for hire, the odds are they will no go far enough. [Trump's Russian connection revealed](http://email.touchbasepro.com/t/d-l-khtdkyl-l-m/) Donald Trump Junior and son-in-law Jared Kushner, along with campaign advisor Paul Manafort all met with a Russian lawyer in June 2016 in the hopes of finding damaging information on Hillary Clinton. Trump Jr did not admit the meeting occurred when the New York Times broke the news on Saturday and only came clean on Sunday. Trump officials have vehemently denied collusion with Russia in any way. But if it walks like collusion, talks like collusion, and smells like collusion, perhaps it's time to call it covfefe. [Richie Porte's Tour over after horror crash](http://email.touchbasepro.com/t/d-l-khtdkyl-l-c/) Richie Porte was taken to hospital after an horrific crash during Stage 9 of the Tour de France. On one of the toughest mountains of the route so far, Porte crashed on a corner, head first, and slid across the road and into the cliff face and then into fellow cyclist Dan Martin. Porte suffered a broken collarbone and pelvis. Needless to say, Porte's Tour de France is over. [Iraq celebrates Mosul victory](http://email.touchbasepro.com/t/d-l-khtdkyl-l-q/) Sunday saw Iraqi forces declaring mission accomplished in Mosul. Iraq's Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi visited the war-ravaged city over the weekend, congratulating troops on the months-long campaign against Islamic State. With thousands dead in the fighting and over a million displaced, picking up the pieces will pose an even greater challenge for the Iraqi administration. An archaic fountain-centric court in Spain and Britain's Lake District and the home of Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth were named.
