I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to do so, only to be completely frustrated and angry that I was then not allowed to talk about it, or publish anything, until now. However, Bell-Pottinger, the international PR company contracted by the Gupta family to manage its reputation, did not live up to the assurances provided. Ajay Gupta lied. But now, finally, because a portion of the interview has emerged on YouTube, I am in a position to disclose what happened. Donald Trump announced via a video feed that he would pull the US out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal on "day one". This falls in line with the president's promise to protect American jobs. No major announcements for his cabinet were forthcoming, however, leading to another day of frantic speculation by media. The changes were the first clean out of such magnitude for Australia since 1977. In doing so, the Aussies are hoping something will stick, and that a seemingly unstopabble South African squad may meet a little more resistance this week.
