Two people were killed and three injured when a gunman opened fire in a residential area in Azusa, east of Los Angeles. Thus far the shooting appeared to be the only major incident taking place on election day. Syndey, Hong Kong, Seoul and Tokyo all shed over two percent, while futures on the Dow in Wall Street plunged 2.6 percent. Many of the wounded were MONUSCO personnel, for whom Goma is a central town for eastern DRC operations.
